Seriously?

Found out at 5:30n this morning(after I got up and got ready for my day) that school is closed!!!! SNOW DAY! Wish I could have found out a little earlier, but very glad about a day off! It is very typical in this town to get up, get ready, get the kids ready, and then right before you load into the car, get word that thereis indeed no school after all. LAST MINUTE!!!!

Got my BAKE on...

I got up early to start baking for Hayley's school. They are having a bake sale and cake walk this weekend. I made Almond Joy Cake, Chocolate Pecan Cake, Fantasy Fudge, and extreme cupcakes!!!!!! I made two of everything so I could give one set to the cake walk and one set to the bake sale.

I found out that all of my cakes and cupcakes sold first!

Down goes the tree

Took the tree down today and packed everything away! Finally parting with a few decorations that I am no longer interested in using again, like, the train that sits under the tree and winds its way around and around, angel tree topper, red bows, and ornaments.

Happy New Year!

Every year on New Year's Day we go down to Grandma's & Grandpa's for Grandpa's Homemade Chili. Kevin & Grandpa spend the day in the cold cooking our chili until it is JUST RIGHT!
This was Ryan's first time to "help" out with chili cooking!

The girls stay inside and help make New Year's lunch. Sausage balls, pigs in ablanket, fried cabbage and black eyed peas. We save our chili for dinner. A great big bowl of steaming freshly made chili topped with fritos, cheese, onions, and ketchup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
