It is official....

I now have a thirteen year old!

Friday we went to the The Palace of Wax for Kevin's birthday. He decided to forgo presents and just go"do" something.

The Last Supper

We fed the baby to the sharks in Ripley's Believe It or Not!

We saw Jesus...

I went on the Oprah show...

They added a Mirror Maze since our last visit several years ago.It was a lot of fun for about 10 minutes. After that...we feared we would never find our way out.It was very hard! The kids went into it asking if they could do it more than once. After we made it out alive, they said they never wanted to do it again.

After that we went out to eat-Kevin's choice-On the Border.
Then we headed for
Grand Prairie Lights.

My pictures aren't great but you can see it better on their website.
Just click the on words ...Grand Prarie Lights.

Kevin really enjoyed his fun filled-never ending day. So it is official...when Kevin wakes up Monday morning, he will be thirteen.

Our Thanksgiving...

We had a great day. Charles' parents joined us at my parent's house for a Thanksgiving feast.
We helped Grandma put up her Chrsitmas tree-an annual tradition on this day. We did arts and crafts and everyone played dominos. It was great having everyone under one roof!

Ryan ate his first Thanksgiving meal, turkey, corn and roll.

Fall Break

The kids are out of
school the whole week!
We are breaking all the rules!
While listening to Christmas music, of course!
We are having a good time playing with toys we don't have time
to play with everyday.

The big kids are "camping out" in their rooms at night. They really enjoy sleeping in their tents when they get the chance. Hayley cooked our dinner all by herself Sunday night. Both of the big kids love to do this.

However, in the midst of playing board games, playing ourselves silly, painting fingernails andturning ourselves upside down.I am able to clean ceiling fans, sock drawers and closets. The kids help and think they are "playing" I am able to clean ceiling fans, sock drawers and closets. The kids help and think they are "playing."

I know Sara doesn't have the hat on...
It is no longer with us.

Have you seen two babies
born 5 years apart that
look this much alike?

Did your babies favor much?

At times...

They still look so much alike.
The only big difference is skin color.

Do you think we look alike?

I don't know...
I never noticed it so much in
the other kiddos but
I think this one is mine!

Ryan Scott

Ryan is turnig 1 year old. Where did the time go? He is such a big boy now. He is a rubber ducky collector. He jabbers(he thinks he is carrying on a conversation with you) and says MAMA-DADA-ByeBye-And when we call one of the kids, he will mock us. He likes to point. He will point at everything. He reminds us so much of Kevin at this age. He is very easy going. A very happy baby! He loves his brothers and sisters.
His favorite food is green beans with rice. Ryan is the perfect baby boy!!!

Sara Leanne

Sara is a feisty three year old. She is a wonderful ball of energy. She loves baby dolls and real babies. She likes Dora the Explorer but doesn't watch the show...not sure what that is about. She likes to play in "her" kitchen and she loves to play dress-up. She reads lots of books, too. She is a "Momma's Girl."

Her favorite thing in the world is-PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY!!!She is really growing up fast! She is a great kid with a big heart! She really loves her baby
brother.

Hayley Renae

Hayley is about to be 8 years old. She loves going to school. She is enjoying her family and loves life. She wants to be a mom and a cook-just like me...Wonder how long that will last? She is very independant and likes to do her own thing. She is always working on something!

She is a great person and has a wonderful personality. She is our "rock star." She is constantly moving and thinking.

Kevin Dean

Kevin is our oldest. He will be a teenager in a few weeks. How did that happen?

He is a tennis guy. His day starts very early. He has to be at tennis at 6:30 every morning. Then he starts his school day. His day ends at 4pm unless he has a tennis match. On game days he gets home at 7pm(if the game is "at home.") When the game is out of town he gets home between 8-9 pm. Like I said, very long days. He is really enjoying his school year. He feels like he has found "his thing." Kevin also has woodshop and photography(yearbook) this year. He has really come along way. We are very proud of him.

Yep...he started training very early.
