One Memory At A Time

Well, it's done! Charles bought me a professional camera to take all of our pictures myself. A few years ago out favorite studio was closed. We were shocked but tried other places and were extremely unsatisfied! Not too mention, they were outrageously priced. Since when did photos cost an arm and a leg???? We tried some locals(because now everyone and their dog owns one of these cameras and all take pictures for their friends). I was never impressed! The pics were fine, but the meeting and not having a studio thing seemed too easy, like I could do that myself. So after amny conversations we agreed that I would do the pics myself and cut out the middle man! I have a link in my side bar to take you to the website of my own photography. I started with Hayley's birthday portraits and it has progressed from there. Feel free to check them out yourself... http://cynthamark.blogspot.com/ Of course, nothing beats going to a professional studio but I am going to add lights and backdrops through the years and hope to have my own personal studio. I am interested in being a photographer for the world but I am interested in capturing my own portraits at my own convenience.

My new purse

I feel like a girl again! Today I bought my first purse since Kevin was born! Talk about choices. Certainly different than a backpack! I love my new purse!!!!!! I love the color, size, everything about it....cuz I picked it out! It took me two weeks to decide.

These boots are made for walking...

Off to a party....gonna be a long night, but a fun one.

The farther north we went the more snow/ice we found. It was so thick in residential areas. Real hard to driveon! It was certainlly interesting and pretty scenery!
We went to a party and ended up dancing and playing air hockey with the kids all night!

SNOW, real fine powdery snow!!!!!!!!

School is out for the 5th day in a row! Very unheard of for our neck of the woods. We usually get ice snow(more ice than snow) for a day but the weather will warm up instantly and melt everything before we even get to play in it. But this year it just jept snowing and the temperatures stayed very low and kept all the snow around for 1 1/2 weeks!!!!! AMAZING!!! We played in it every single day! It was so nice and pretty!!!!! Charles finally had a day off to play with us.

It felt like Spring Break all week! I am one happy girl!

Redundant

I know this is sounding like a broken record but instead of waiting for bedtime, they announced on the 5pm news that school was out again today for the 4th day in a row. The temps are just too cold. The coldest in 15 years!!!! Snow is hanging around and refreezing every night. Temps never leave the teens this week! I am enjoying it. I am praying for a pretty white blanket of snow to cover up all the ice on the ground! Come on snow...I am rooting for ya!

I am going to go into shock

We found out at bedtime again that there would be no school today! Yep, you heard me right! We slept in, again, enjoying our snow day right! What is happening around here? I think we moved somewhere north and someone forget to tell me!!!!! This feels like a dream!!!

I will take it!!!!!!!!

Well, yesterday & today were declared no school snow days! We found out there was no school at 5:30 yesterday morning. We usually have to get up and start getting ready only to find out that we could have started the day later. The weather really wasn't that bad. We are not use to the 0 degree temperatures! Texas hasn't seen temps this cold in 20 years. If it is going to be THAT cold I am VERY glad that I don't have to get out in it. The best part was finding out at bed time last night that we would not have school today either. We have never known that soon before. It was nice to not have to wonder about it anymore.
I am loving the kids being home from school. We have not done much but goof around and play a lot. We did order a pizza yesterday and it took 2 hours to get here, HOWEVER, it arrived with a second FREE pizza for our wait. After lunch the girls helped me make some homemade chocolate chip pecan cookies from scratch and they were sooo o yummy!!!!
Yep, you guessed it...todays menu... Pizza lunch with chocolate chip cookies, 2nd verse, same as the first!
Non snow days are awesome!

I decided to order a pizza for the kiddos and after waiting 2 hours we were surprised with a 2nd FREE pizza for our wait!!!! So, now for desert, we are making warm delicious, chocolate chip pecan cookies. YUMMMM! The girls helped me make them from scratch! Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday! I love snow days!
