So we went snow sleding...
We ended up getting out of the house to check out things and ran by the park to find over 100 kids sleding down the hill. What a fatanstic idea! How did they know to do that? We didn't stop at first we kept on checking out the damage around town from too much snow.
But then we drove back by a few hourse later to watch the kids sledding. They were almost all gone. Must have gotten too cold. So we jumped out and started throwing our kids down the hill.
I know Ryan laughed so hard he had us laughing. He loved getting shot down the hill on a trash can lid and cardboard box. The lid worked better for him. By then, the kids just started going down the hill sliding only on their jackets. If you look closely in the 3rd picture, Sara is actually crawling down the hill.
That's right. We were so high on happy snow day that we were literally crazy people out there! It was so much fun! What a wonderful day to have everyone outside in record amounts of snow! We loved every minute of it!

Yep..it snowed 9 inches
What a beautiful wonter wonderland!

There were cars on our street that ran off the road overnight and got stuck. Tow trucks would not come get them, they said they would wait until tomorrow. The police ended up picking up the people and taking them home. Those drivers walked back the next day trying to get their cars unstuck. Trees are broken all over town. Some borke and damaged house, power lines, etc. Some car ports collapsed and damaged vehicles. Way too much snow and weight forus around here.
I am so glad I lived long enough to have this much snow right in my own backyard. It was pricesless! I hope the kids can remember some of this when they are older.

We were so ahppy to see snow! It snowed so much so hard and so fast that we were just looking out and laughing and so tickled all day! Still in shock over how much we accumilated. Over 9 inches for us. Up to 12.5 in the area. Ryan picked up the snowball game quickly. He spent the entire morning with a snowball in a baggy. It finally melted after lunch. He loved watching the snow!
