Busy, Busy, Busy...

Well, I am in Knee-Deep these days folks...
I am getting the girls converted into a room together while moving Ryan into his own room.
Perfect time to deep clean all the bedrooms, might I add! So, of course, Kevin also got a good deep cleaning done on his room, too, even though he is the only one not moving into a new room/living arrangement.
Plus, I am getting everything ready for Hayley's Birthday Party's(one at school and one at home.)
Along with preparing for Hayley's First Communion.
She already made her first confession!
This is all fine but I am also preparing for our trip in March while operating under my daily schedule called LIFE.
I have even added a workout routine nto my "normal" schedule.
I am ALWAYS ready for bedtime before the end of my day, but I ecspecially enjoy laying my head down these days. There are not enough hours in a day-that is for sure! But I desperately wish for more hours in a night!(I have been going to bed at 8pm for many years now, how much earlier can I go?) Just one night, please. It helps when all your kids are well!Ha!

Ryan moved out of the Alcove...

I think he is just a little proud of his new digs...

Yes, Ryan, mommy is still standing there taking pictures of you running
around in your new room.

My brand new toy!!!

Well, I finally got a freezer. I am not sure why we waited 15 years to get one. I imagine space had something to do with it. But after my whirlwind of "deep cleaning" I now have more room!
My freezer is an upright and is beautiful. I am so proud of it. Can you imagine, not opening my refrigerator freezer and have everything in it end up on my feet every day? Well, I can! It has been 3 days now and it was well worth the purchase. I went right away and bought groceries just to stock in my freezer. I am already looking forward to future grocery shopping trips where I can plan more than a week ahead when I buy. I'll be honest, I have actually gone in there just to look at it. I try not to open it too much, though. I can see this really paying off in the future! Holidays, parties, etc! Oh, I am just so thrilled. I know, it is just a freezer, but I love things that make my life a little easier. Organization and cleaning are my things! I never thought I would live to see that day where some "kitchen" accessory would make me happy. I am getting way too old!

Does Life Get Any Better Than This?

Well, Thursday I asked my husband how ambitious he felt. He asked me why and I told him I wanted to do some "Deep Cleaning." He jumped in with both feet! Now you may be asking yourself, what is deep cleaning? My defintion is: we clean the house top to bottom, literally,( blinds, windows, carpets, floors, walls, curtains, bedspreads, flipping mattresses, cleaning drawers, closets(which also includes clearing out things that don't fit or haven't been worn in a while and donating them. We are talking about serious purging here folks.) bathrooms, desks, pictures frames, doors, cleaning out files, and under couch cushions, shelves, cabinets, refrigerator, baseboards, pantry, showers, ceiling fans and everything else in the house until there is nothing left to tackle. I am not kidding. I take cleaning seriously. I should have started out by saying that I clean A LOT! I even e-mail myself my chores for the day because I know my mind will wonder and I will not get the job done if I don't remind myself. My husband likes to say that I have OCD's but I think an Overactive Mind sounds prettier. But after this round of Deep Cleaning I think I will be adding extra chores to my weekly list. I am realinzing that I have not deep cleaned since right before my baby was born and he is a year old now! That is aweful! I normally deep clean twice a year, but I have gone way off track lately. I am so glad I had my husbands help.

So, we went right to work. One room at a time and worked our fingers to the bone. Mine are still a little numb. These are the only times I wish my house was smaller. But the house really "feels" clean. It looks clean and light. It is such a good feeling to take a deep breath and have it feel so good and clean. Well, I may actually be high and cleaning fumes but, it really changes my attitude. I feel better and happier when the house is clean. I definitely recommend this for everyone. You also get caught up with each other when you are working together. We talked about everything under the sun and even managed to make plans for Spring Break. We made plans and booked reservations(thanks to our friends) during all our cleaning. What, you have to take a few breaks?

The icing on the cake is that the past few days have been beautiful. The weather has turned around a little and today I can actually open windows and "air out" the house. I love to raise the windows and enjoy the clean air. It certainly gives me a postive attitude. (Again, I realize that could still be the cleaning fumes.)I noticed the forcast this week is suppose to be a full week of warmer temps and sunshine!!!

So, I ask you again...Does life get any better that a super clean house with windows raised and a promise of a weeks worth of sunshine? Yes, it does, becuase I also have something to look forward to...like reservations to get the heck out of dodge for Spring Break!
